Wembley Cricket Club 1st XI SAT v Ealing on Sat 12 May 2007 at 11.30am
Wembley Cricket Club Lost By 10 Wickets
A visit by the reigning champions wasn't the ideal fixture for our first game back in the top flight. With no less that six of last year's regular first team no longer playing this season it was always going to be a tough test and so it proved as the Ealing bowlers demolished our batting line up for just 43 runs. Blanchett was the pick of the Ealing bowlers with 4-4 from 6 overs. The Ealing batsmen made light work of the run chase as they scored the required 44 runs in just 6.1 overs without losing a wicket.
A harsh reality check for those who doubted just how strong this division is.
