On a very good batting pitch we reached a score of 251 with seven batsmen making useful contributions but without anyone going past 50 to take us closer to 300. With four front line first team bowlers in the line up we were confident of defending that score but unfortunately the seam bowlers struggled for rythm and were taken apart by the opening batsmen. The spinners came on and slowed things a little and created a couple of chances which we didn't take, so with an excellent opening partnership of 220 Old Emanuel cruised to victory with four overs to spare for the loss of just one wicket.
